Bookkeeper, Limerick, PA

Maillie LLP, is looking for an experienced, Full Time, Bookkeeper in our Limerick, PA office to assist clients with their financial recordkeeping.
This position gives you the opportunity to work with a team of accounting professionals in a dynamic environment and broaden your skill set through the diversified clients we serve.

Core Responsibilities:

Our Bookkeepers assist clients with a variety of financial functions including:
• Review and record all aspects of the accounts payable and receivable functions
• Review and perform bank reconciliations
• Process disbursements and receipts
• Review/prepare monthly journal entries, reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements
• Assist clients with financial software related issues
• Review or prepare payroll for accuracy
• Calculate payroll taxes
• Prepare tax returns
• Review monthly accounting close process including analytical review of monthly operating results
• Prepare additional financial statements and related schedules for management
• Provide additional support as needed
• Review financial information related to insurance requirements

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience and education
• 4+ years of experience as a bookkeeper with experience preparing financial statements or 2+ years as an accountant
• QuickBooks proficiency required. Experience using other accounting software such as Sage 50 a plus
• Demonstrated skill managing client relationships
• Ability to work overtime during tax season; January – April
• Valid driver’s license required to travel to client locations
