Supervisor, New Castle, DE

Core Responsibilities:

• Leads audit engagements; supervises staff and reviews work papers

• Ensures issues identified in planning are addressed and resolved

• Develops an understanding of engagement/project profitability and budgets

• Confers with tax department on complex tax returns and prepares tax returns

• Conducts detailed review of tax returns

• Develops understanding of client tax needs, including review of organizational structure and any/all other entities held by organization that could be impacted

• Participates in client tax planning

• Serves as a mentor to staff to guide success

• Understands client issues and escalates complex issues to partner
 

Core Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA designation

• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office

• Demonstrated expertise supervising client and internal relationships

• Experience in audit and tax strongly preferred

• Experience supervising engagements and providing guidance to staff

• Valid driver’s license required

• Ability to work significant overtime during tax season (January – April)
